Summer is in full swing and there’s no better time to explore everything our neighborhood (and our sister neighborhoods) have to offer. From sipping cocktails with a view to catching a water taxi or eating some ice cream, this list has a little something for everyone! So slide into your flip flops, grab a friend, and let the summer fun begin right in your own backyard!
Check out Charlestown Brewing
Charlestown Brewing Co. is turning up the volume on fun, flavor, and community at The Yard Charlestown at Hood Park. The brewery’s summer-long outdoor pop-up will run every weekend through August, featuring craft drinks, live music, mini golf, local food vendors—and a mission to give back.
Enjoy an immersive outdoor experience with a 9-hole mini golf course, live music performances, Charlestown Brewing Co. merch, and a full lineup of beverages from some of New England’s best brewers and distillers. The pop-up is free to attend, both dog- and family-friendly, and includes up to three hours of free parking inside the Hood Park Garage. Hours of operation are Fridays and Saturdays from 4–10 PM and Sundays from 12–8 PM.
Drink offerings include pours from Wachusett Brewing, Harpoon, Smuttynose Beer Company, and Island District Cocktails. A portion of proceeds from the summer pop-up will benefit the Hold a Heart Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by heart disease. By coming out to enjoy the festivities, guests will also be helping support a meaningful cause.
