Dockfest continues at The Anchor through the weekend with the following events:

Turn it around

USS Constitution is scheduled to go underway from Charlestown Navy Yard on July 4th at 10:00 a.m in honor of Independence Day! USS Constitution’s cruise will be viewable from the Boston Harborwalk, Castle Island, and Charlestown Navy Yard. There will fire a 21-gun salute viewable from Fort Independence on Castle Island at approximately 11:30 a.m. The turnaround will commemorate the 249th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. 

Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular

At 8pm on July 4th, the annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular will take place along the Esplanade, with a concert performance at the Hatch Shell. Musical guests include Le-Ann Rimes, Leslie Odem Jr., Bel Biv Devoe + more. The fireworks display over the Charles River begins at 10:30 pm but you’ll want to arrive when the event gates open at 12pm to secure a spot. Free shuttle service from Pier 6 to Eastie and Seaport

Looking for a fun activity around Charlestown? Check out the boat shuttle service that connects you from Pier 6 in Charlestown to East Boston’s waterfront and the Seaport. Boston Launch Company runs their boat shuttle service daily from 11 am until 11 pm, making stops at Pier 6, ReelHouse East BostonThe Tall Ship, and ReelHouse Oyster Bar in the Seaport. The service costs $4 a ticket but is free during Sumner Tunnel closures. It is such a fun, easy, and convenient way to get around the city! Read all about it here!

Boston Harborfest

Boston Harborfest, one of the country’s largest Fourth of July festivals, returns to Boston Harbor and Downtown Boston for its 43rd edition July 2-4. The long-running festival, celebrating Boston’s revolutionary history and its everyday vibrancy, will feature dozens of events and activities, including live entertainment, historical re-enactments, integration with U.S. Navy Week, fireworks, and more.
