Recognized as one of the top community sailing programs in the country, Courageous Sailing offers year-round sailing and learning on Boston Harbor at Charlestown’s Pier 4 and Jamaica Pond.
Youth Programming
Known for its youth programming and its wildly popular summer day camp, Courageous Sailing offers classes for kids ages 8 to 15. Their youth programming offers a diverse community of kids ways to gain leadership skills, confidence, and hands-on science experience through sailing!
Adult and Community Sailing
Whether it’s your first time on a boat or you have miles of water under your keel, Courageous Sailing offers various classes, memberships, and opportunities to get underway.
Courages offers several classes led by expert US Sailing-certified instructors to teach you how to sail. Classes are extremely hands-on and are kept small (usually no more than three students in the boat with an instructor). While group classes are geared towards adults (18+), they will also accommodate private lessons for families or individuals of any age and experience level.
For all your experienced sailors, you can sign up for a Courageous membership and sail one of their boats on Boston Harbor or to the Harbor Islands. Courageous offers a variety of memberships to fit you schedule, skill level, and boat preference. You must become a qualified member to ensure your skill level.
