Skincare for Brides by LexRx

Choosing LexRx to build me a skincare plan for the year leading up to my wedding was a no-brainer. From their customized approach with injectables to their medical-grade skin care products, everything is being addressed by their fabulous team right in Charlestown! I’m here to give you a glimpse of what I have planned over the next 10 months, and my honest results from treatments and products.

We started by reviewing the incredible results I have seen from my previous LexRx care, and the timeline I felt my results peaked, so we could construct a schedule leading up to the wedding. Here are some of my musts:

Treatments

• Diamond Glow facials | Monthly, last one 5 days before the wedding: I get monthly Diamond Glow facials to focus on evening tone and texture, reducing dark spots and diminishing the size of pores. The more I’ve gotten, the better my face has looked! With their monthly membership, you save $1,200 a year! 
• Upper neurotoxin treatment | 3-4 weeks before the wedding: I get a regularly scheduled upper neurotoxin treatment to reduce deep lines in my forehead and between my eyebrows. Results show up as early as 5 days, but can continue to improve for up to 2 weeks. I’ll do this about 3 weeks out incase I get any bruising, but haven’t had that before!
• Lip Flip | 3-4 weeks before wedding: We love a Lip Flip! This reduces how much of my upper gums show when I smile. I don’t feel it alters my lips much at all, just improves my smile a bit! I saw the same results timeline as my upper neurotoxin treatment. 
• Masseter neurotoxin treatment | 2 months before the wedding: My favorite, the Masseter neurotoxin treatment. I found my results peaked at 2 months, so this is when we will schedule it for. We also know that Masseter injections can only be done twice a year, so I have scheduled the other appointment as well! This has been the most life-changing treatment I’ve received. I’ve suffered from TMJ since I was a teenager, which worsened after having a baby, and the injections wiped my pain away. It also gave me a SNATCHED jawline because my jaw muscles aren’t constantly overworking!
• Microneedling | Starting 4 months before the wedding: New for me! I plan on getting a series of 3 microneedling treatments on my face, neck, and chest with their FDA approved device, SkinPen. These will happen 4-6 weeks apart, with full results at the end of the series of treatments. It can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, diminish the appearance of pores, improve (and even erase!) acne scarring, as well as tighten and smooth the neck.

Some other options for brides…

• Sculptra | 3 months before a wedding: With sculptra, you will see some changes in your skin (glowing, youthful) after 2 weeks, but full collagen stimulation and volumization is at about 6-12 weeks. *FIND LINK*
• Filler | 3 weeks before a wedding: Any filler, whether lips, cheek, or elsewhere. Some people see immediate results with filler, but 30% of those results may be swelling. It can take 48 hours for swelling to reduce, although you may have minor residual swelling for 2 weeks.

At-home Skincare with LexRx’s Medical-Grade Products

• Exfoliating Pads: I use these treatment pads every few nights. They contain 10% glycolic acid to promote smoother skin by gently exfoliating, moisturizing, and assisting with the removal of oils and residue on the skin… and they minimize pore size! 
• Vitamin C Serum: I use this nightly! This medical-grade Vitamin C serum works a lot better for me than others I’ve tried. It has corrected pesky dark spots of mine without drying out my skin. The 20% Vitamin C formula helps to brighten the complexion, support healthy collagen production and fight free radicals. • 5x Concentrated Retinol Serum: I use this every few nights. It’s medical-grade, but my sensitive skin hasn’t had any reactions to its strength. I can even use it throughout the winter without drying out my skin. This serum helps improve the look of discoloration, fine lines, wrinkles, pore size and blemishes but it also contains Bakuchiol, a natural complement to retinol, which boosts overall antioxidant activity to increase benefits and visibly reduce the incidence of redness or irritation. 
• Needle Free Serum: I use this nightly! A LexRx best-seller, and a MUST for anyone feeling like they are losing their youthfulness.
