PickleBOS Celebrates Charlestown Expansion with Grand Opening Events, May 29-30

Boston’s Home for Pickleball Welcomes the Community for an Official Ribbon Cutting, Free Open Play, Learn to Play Clinics, and Catered Food During its Two-Day Grand Opening Celebration
WHAT: PickleBOS, recently named “Best Pickleball Facility in the Northeast” by the Dink Awards, is proud to announce its expansion to Charlestown with the opening of its second location at 440 Rutherford Ave. The new facility will feature 10 professional-grade indoor courts, building on the strong success of its South Boston facility, which opened in November 2025.
Leading up to the official Grand Opening celebration, courts will be open for reservations beginning Tuesday, May 26, through Thursday, May 28, starting at 11:00 AM daily, with Open Play available from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM each evening.
The official Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting will take place on Saturday, May 30, at 9:00 AM, where local officials, community leaders, Charlestown neighbors, and pickleball enthusiasts will gather to commemorate the expansion and celebrate this milestone for Boston’s premier indoor pickleball club.
The celebration will continue throughout Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30, with complimentary Open Play for first-time PickleBOS players. On Friday, free Open Play will run from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, while Saturday’s Open Play will be available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Complimentary Open Play is limited to one one-hour signup per guest, per day.
Additionally, complimentary Learn to Play Pickleball Level 1 Clinics will be offered throughout both Friday and Saturday for first-time PickleBOS players looking to learn the game in a welcoming environment.
On Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, PickleBOS will also host a special Member-Only Event featuring complimentary Open Play, food, and community programming for players of all skill levels. To sign up, please use the link here.
