Introducing: Charlestown’s new luxury day spa at Philip Edward Salon

In the middle of the hustle and bustle of Charlestown, perched up on Bunker Hill Street, Philip Edward Salon and Spa has been beloved by clients both near and far for over a decade. Now, after years of thoughtful planning, stunning renovations, and intentional hiring, a true oasis awaits clients just upstairs from the salon. On June 18th, from 5 to 8 p.m., they welcome everyone to check out their new day spa. It will be a night of skin care consults, rejuvenating hand treatments, a dry styling bar, $11/unit botox, exclusive spa package offerings, 10% off their retail, and include some awesome Charlestown vendors: Waverly, Kaybea, and Baby Boyle Bouquets.

They have officially introduced their luxury day spa, which will offer massage therapy, soaks and body wraps in a Himalayan salt room; a full menu of facials, peels, and treatments in their relaxing treatment room; body work and med spa offerings in an outfitted room that boasts beautiful natural light with a view of Bunker Hill Monument; and even a relaxing waiting area with a fireplace, drinks, snacks, and more. We got a sneak peak of the spa and some of their offerings, and here’s the scoop…

The thoughtful and stunning design of the new space melts worries away even as you ascend the staircase. You’re then greeted by a comfortable robe, slippers, and a space to relax before your appointment. Philip Edward Owner and Master Stylist Debralee says one of their biggest goals is to marry high-quality treatments with sincere relaxation – and we can attest, it does just that. After an incredible 90-minute massage, which offered both deep tissue relief and moments of relaxation, I hopped into the next room for a facial that left me looking like a “dewy, dewy gumdrop,” as I wished for! In between treatments I enjoyed snacks, hot tea, and a cozy setting.

Clients can pop in for something like a much-needed massage, or schedule multiple treatments for a day spa experience that addresses all their needs while offering a sanctuary from busy city life. Philip Edward has been a treasured salon and spa for many years, and has always aimed to be a place of pampering even with the simplest of treatments.
