History Buffs, Take Note: A Special Bunker Hill Event Is Happening June 16th

Calling all history buffs or budding history buffs.

Looking to learn a little more about Charlestown’s most famous battle? The City of Boston, the Charlestown Historical Society, and GBH are hosting a special event, The Legacy of the Battle of Bunker Hill, on Tuesday, June 16th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bunker Hill Museum Community Room.

The evening will feature a screening of a segment from Ken Burns’ new documentary The American Revolution focused on the Battle of Bunker Hill, followed by a discussion with local historians, archaeologists, researchers, and descendants of those who fought in the battle.

Attendees will also get a first look at rare family artifacts, journals, weapons, and other items connected to soldiers who fought on June 17, 1775. The event is free and takes place on the eve of the 251st anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill.
