If you don’t already know about Cut-Splice, you’ve probably walked right past this hidden gem. Hiding in plain sight in the Navy Yard, the salon is located just past The Anchor and Shipyard Park. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by bright natural light, colorful accents, positive vibes, and confident, professional stylists. Each member of their team is down to earth and attentive, ready to make sure you have a great experience.

Their clients return year after year, and keep it on the DL for good reason, but no more gatekeeping from me! They’ve seen me as a client through some of my most stressful hair years of my life, and I don’t know where I’d be without them. This includes finding my natural hair’s version of “lived in blonde”, postpartum hair loss, a complete change in my hair texture (having a baby is weird), more hair loss from my now toddler, getting my glow back, and so much more.

Founder Grant originally opened Cut-Splice in Summer 2014, right around the time his third child was brought into the world. They also have a location in Danvers, and staff over 20 stylists between the two locations.

Cut-Splice Charlestown in the Navy Yard is serene; a quiet heavily residential nestling with amazing views of all of Boston harbor. We are lucky to have tremendous views out our windows of not only the City of Boston, but the USS Constitution, the Garden, the north end and much more. Speckled with restaurants and loaded with history, the Navy Yard is a great place for views and a stroll and of course, fantastic hair.
