US Navy will commission USS Nantucket in the Navy Yard
Saturday, November 16th at 9:45 a.m. | The U.S. Navy will commission the future USS Nantucket (LCS 27), a Freedom-variant littoral combat ship, on Saturday, November 16th, at the Charlestown Navy Yard. The invitation-only commissioning ceremony will be streamed live online here. A watch party on Nantucket (the island) is happening at the VFW Post 8608 on New South Road. Read more here!
Annual Harvest Fair
Saturday, November 16th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. | The Harvest Fair returns this Saturday to St. John’s Episcopal Church, at 27 Devens Street! Books, crafts, jewelry and more, with Turkey Dinner 12-2 p.m.
This year the dinner is pay-as-you-can with a $20 suggested donation. 10% of proceeds go to Harvest on Vine, with the rest supporting the ministry of St. John’s. Thank you all for your support!
