Have a great weekend, Charlestown!
History in Motion
USS Constitution is scheduled to get underway Friday, June 6th, from Charlestown Navy Yard at 10:00 A.M. The cruise will be visible from the Boston Harborwalk, Castle Island, and Charlestown Navy Yard. A 21-gun salute will be fired at approximately 11:30 A.M., viewable from Fort Independence on Castle Island.
This sail will commemorate D-Day. Great viewing spots include the Charlestown Navy Yard, the Harbor Walk, and Castle Island! While you’re out there, you might as well grab an early lunch at Pier 6, right?
Try Monument IPA or Waverly IPA … or both!
Beers brewed just for Charlestown? How cool! Ctown is a home away from home for brewers at Mast Landing, which was founded in Maine in 2016. At Waverly and Monument you’ll find House IPAs brewed for the restaurants’ draft lines. They’re hazy, fruity, and refreshing!
“The crew at these exceptional spots have been long time supporters of Mast Landing, pouring many of our beers over the years. It only made sense for us to take this partnership up a notch with recipe made just for them.
The next time you’re in the area, make a point to hit these essential spots and enjoy some spectacular food and a delicious pint or two!”

And Pride BlueBikes!
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (Blue Cross), the title sponsor of Bluebikes, is again launching 100 rainbow-wrapped “Proud Bikes” into Greater Boston’s bike share system this June. As part of this month-long initiative to support LGBTQIA+ health care access across Greater Boston, Blue Cross will donate $1 to Fenway Health for every ride taken on a “Proud Bike” (either classic or ebike). Once that threshold is met, Lyft, the operator of Bluebikes, will match the donation with an additional $1 per “Proud Bike” ride, contributing up to an additional $10,000. Fenway Health, a longtime partner of Blue Cross, is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of the LGBTQIA+ community and all diverse communities through innovative, equitable, and accessible health care, supportive services, and transformative research and education. Blue Cross has been Bluebikes’ title sponsor since the 2018 inception of the publicly owned bike share program, which is owned by the 13 participating municipalities and operated by Lyft.
