Storytime, Yoga, and Art at Henry Bear’s Park on Saturday
2 Mindful Girls is partnering with Henry Bear’s Park in Hood Park! They are kicking off the partnership with a magical morning of movement, imagination, and creativity! This special Storytime + Kids Yoga + Art Project event on Saturday is perfect for a summer day. They hope to do this monthly with different themes, so go check it out and let them know how you like it!
They’ll start with a read-aloud of Ava’s children’s book, Renee Finds Her Calm (discounted copies will be available for purchase at the event), followed by a playful and gentle yoga session designed for young bodies and minds. After stretching and moving, children will get to express themselves through a simple, story-themed art project to take home.
Hosted in the cozy and creative space of Henry Bear’s Park, this event is free and best suited for ages 3-10. Mats are provided, but feel free to bring your own! Registration is only $10 and for a second child it is an additional $5.

This project is presented by Navy Yard Garden & Art, with generous support from community sponsors and civic partners. Read all about it here!
