Bunker Hill Day Parade Date Announced

It’s official! This year’s Bunker Hill Day Parade will take place on Sunday, June 14th. We’ll have a roundup for you soon. In the meantime, take a peak at everything from last year!

Easter is this coming weekend, so it’s time to prep for your bunny visit and all of your Easter activities. We have a roundup of ways to shop local and support the community – from ordering Sweets by Cella’s delicious Carrot Cake to shopping for your kid’s Easter attire and goodies at Joystreet. 

Get StrongHER alongside other women by training with real coaching at Monument Fitness

Ladies – we all come out of winter feeling a little more sluggish and less strong after months of being stuck inside. Here’s your sign to check out Monument Fitness and their StrongHER program for dedicated guidance, a place to train with real coaching, and programming geared towards the results you want. Get toned, strong, and improve long-term health while looking and feeling great with Monument Fitness’ women only strength and conditioning class created by @staceykroon who is a 42-year-old toddler mom and 15+ year sponsored athlete and coach.

Women of all ages and fitness levels are welcome, from first-timers to experienced athletes. Coach Stacey will guide you through every movement and offer modifications as needed. Classes are Monday 6:30pm, Tuesday 9:30am, and Thursday 9:30am. First class is always free!!

New England Revolution to present at next week’s Charlestown Neighborhood Council meeting

Yes – the MLS soccer team New England Revolution. Next Tuesday, April 7th, the Charlestown Neighborhood Council will hold their General Meeting at 7pm at Knights of Columbus (545 Medford St.). Along with the NE Revolution, the Boston Parks Department will also present about Barry Playground. Bring your questions, ideas, and neighborhood concerns.

You can support local preforming arts by attending Performathon at Urban Wild

Over 120 preforming arts students and faculty will be showcased at a free benefit concert that you can attend! It will be held at Urban Wild on April 11 from 11am to 4pm. Your attendance will support the North End Music & Preforming Arts Center tuition assistance and educational programs, who hold events and programs at the Charlestown Working Theatre.
