Prima drops their Spring and Easter Menus

Spring has arrived at Prima!! Everything from a Carrot Cake Martini, to prosciutto and burrata, chicken saltimbocca, ravioli di carne, and more. Check out their official Spring Menu.

Also – Prima will celebrate Easter on Sunday, April 5th with optional prix fixe menus for both brunch and dinner. Make your brunch and dinner reservations now, before they’re all gone!

Brunch will take place from 10am to 2:30pm for $75/pp. The 3-course menu includes favorites like their incredible Caesar salad, steak and eggs, and tiramisu. Kids eat for $25 and get 3 courses, too!

Dinner is 2:30pm onward, and is $95/pp. The 3-course menu has delicious dishes like their Wagyu Ravioli. Same thing as brunch … Kids eat for $25 and get 3 courses, too!

Get ready, Charlestown — Music Bingo is back for a special Patriot’s Day celebration as we kick off America’s 250th!! Bunker Hill Associates will host great music, big energy, big prizes, and a packed room. Get your tickets now, before it sells out!

It will take place on Friday, April 17th starting at 7pm at Knights of Columbus, Charlestown. It’s $400/table ($40/seat) with a cash bar. Funds benefit the Bunker Hill Association’s efforts in the Charlestown Community.

The Bunker Hill Associates non-profit organization was founded in 1985 with the goal of bringing the people of Charlestown together in support of youth programming. Since that time, the Associates have worked hand-in-hand with the Charlestown community to raise and allocate money for scholarships, academic programs, extra-curricular activities, and the general well-being of the town’s youth.​

Over time, the Bunker Hill Associates recognized a need for wider community support and development, especially in the face of the recent pandemic. As a result, the Associates’ scope of work has expanded to include civic engagement across all demographics.​

May Day is back on Saturday, May 2nd (Rain Date: Sunday, May 3rd)

May Day is Charlestown’s spring kickoff, put on by Visit Charlestown – a day to shake off the winter months, come back outside, and celebrate our local small businesses together. The event draws hundreds of residents to the neighborhood for outdoor fitness classes, live community energy, and a chance to reconnect after the long New England winter.

Throughout the day, you can join in on epic workouts, visit local restaurants offering specials and seasonal drinks, and hop into neighborhood shops who are usually running exclusive deals to encourage residents to shop small and support the businesses that keep Charlestown thriving! Stay tuned for all of the May Day happenings that will be announced in the coming month.

Officers Arrest Two for Armed Robbery in Charlestown

Please be vigilant and careful, everyone. While we celebrate Charlestown for being a beautiful and welcoming place, there is, unfortunately, always the potential for dangerous situations to arise in any city or town. At about 4:32 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a radio call for an armed robbery in the area of 22 Prospect Street in Charlestown.

Upon arrival, officers were met by the female victim who stated she was walking in the area of Adams Street and Mount Vernon Street when two unknown males approached her from behind. The victim stated the male suspects pointed a firearm at her before stealing her purse and fleeing towards the area of Monument Square. Get the full story, here.

There are big plans for 201 Rutherford Ave (the Old 99)

A proposed development at 201 Rutherford Avenue would transform a currently underutilized portion of the Bunker Hill Mall into a six-story residential building with approximately 240 units, along with parking, amenities, and upgrades to the surrounding streetscape. The project also includes plans for improved pedestrian connections and a more modern, neighborhood-friendly layout—part of a broader effort to rethink this busy corridor.

This development is just one piece of a much bigger picture. With the City actively working on a long-discussed redesign of Rutherford Avenue, aimed at turning the highway-like roadway into a more walkable, transit-friendly boulevard, the area is poised for significant change in the years ahead.
