Tuesday, June 17th | 2:45 to 5:30 p.m. at the Bunker Hill Monument
Descendants from all over the country will be coming to the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill to share their family stories and artifacts from their ancestors who fought on Breed’s Hill that pivotal day on June 17, 1775.The Charlestown Historical Society’s “Brothers of the Battle” program honors the unsung heroes — the farmers, tradesmen, immigrants, and teenagers — whose sacrifices shaped the American Revolution. This year’s commemoration shines a light on these everyday patriots and their stories. The main commemoration ceremony at the Monument will take place from approximately 2:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Yes, you heard that right! Charlestown will end its Charlestown Pride and Battle of Bunker Hill commemorations with a bang this year. Head down to the waterfront on Tuesday to watch a firework spectacular over Pier 4 and Pier 6. A special thank you to Boston 250 and Mayor Michelle Wu for their continued support through these events and making this show happen. Crime in Charlestown is being addressed

There’s been a spike in crime, particularly level 1 crime, in Charlestown. In response, police presence and neighborhood watch groups have had an increased presence. Those efforts seem to be helping people feel safer and are actually making a difference.
