Planned Charlestown Tower Site Headed to Auction

Here’s the latest Charlestown Development News…
According to the Boston Business Journal, the site of a proposed high-rise development near Sullivan Square is headed to auction next week. The property, located at 33-39 Cambridge Street, had previously been eyed for a mixed-use tower project but is now being sold through a foreclosure auction.
The parcel sits in a rapidly changing section of Charlestown, where several large-scale residential and commercial projects are either underway or in the planning stages. The auction could open the door for a new developer to take over the site and potentially revive development plans.
The property is scheduled to be auctioned on June 9. As Charlestown continues to evolve, all eyes will be on what comes next for this prominent corner near Sullivan Square.
Stay tuned.
