Looking for a fun family outing this weekend? Hood Park,   in collaboration with Tradesman Charlestown, is hosting its first-ever Touch-a-Truck event on Saturday, November 8th, from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM — and everyone’s invited!

Families from Charlestown and beyond can spend the afternoon exploring real-life emergency vehicles — from a Boston fire truck and police cruiser to an ambulance and even construction equipment. Kids will love climbing aboard, meeting local first responders, and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the vehicles that help keep our community safe.

The day will also include face painting, balloon sculpting, and games for the little ones. Plus, Henry Bear’s Park will have a special table filled with fun activities and prizes.

And because no neighborhood event is complete without good food, Tradesman Charlestown will be serving up free, fall-inspired bites throughout the day.

📍 Where: 500 Rutherford Avenue
🚗 Parking: Three hours of free parking available in the garage at 100 Hood Park Drive
🚆 Getting there: Just a short walk from Sullivan Station

This free community event is open to all — so grab the kids, bundle up, and make a day of it at Hood Park!
