Mark your calendars for a meaningful morning in Charlestown!
Tuesday, May 20th
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Along Bunker Hill Street
Join the Bunker Hill Monument Association and Gardens for Charlestown for a special community event celebrating the planting of a new Liberty Tree—part of a citywide tribute marking the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution and the Battle of Bunker Hill.
This dedication also pays tribute to Kevin Burke, a cherished former BHMA Board Member and founder of Gardens for Charlestown, whose legacy continues to bloom in our neighborhood’s green spaces.
We’re excited to welcome Erika Tarantal of WCVB Channel 5’s Chronicle, who will be featuring the event in an upcoming segment on local commemorations.
The Liberty Tree is one of 13 newly planted in Charlestown, thanks to a partnership with the Massachusetts Audubon Society and BHMA—symbolizing our roots in history and a shared commitment to a greener future.
🌿 Let’s come together to honor the past and plant the seeds for what’s to come. See you in the garden!
