May Day is Saturday, May 4th!
Visit Charlestown is hosting their annual May Day, a celebration of spring at local shops, restaurants, and more. Check out what they, and each small business, has planned below!
Pop ups on Main Street
City Square Cycle will be offering single classes for $15 and 1 month of unlimited classes for $125 as well as a raffle. Stop by their table on Main Street!
Monument Fitness, a HIIT and Crossfit gym featuring Kids classes too, will be giving out passes for free classes along with healthy snacks. They will have kid friend activities and prizes. “Stop by for your dose of fun filled fitness!”
SavvySitter will be set up outside of Junebug with fun goodies and sidewalk chalk for the kids
Chattermark Distillers will be serving their Charlestown (Kentucky) Buck and Whiskey Smash at the taproom in honor of May Day and Derby Day!

3pm at Urban Wild | Urban Wild is hosting a party for the derby with prizes for best outfits, free raffle entry for the winning horse, live DJ, and a special derby menu with Giant Mint Julep Coolers! The race will be on the jumbo screen and 16 giant TVs! No ticket required.
3pm at Pier 6 | Celebrate the Derby on the waterfront at Pier 6, who will be joined by ReelHouse East Boston and Bulleit Whiskey. Prizes for best hat and most dapper. Get your ticket here!

Charlestown Preservation Society “Celebrate May Day in Charlestown with the Charlestown Preservation Society. Historic homes and buildings will be spotlighted with a self-guided walking tour and children’s scavenger hunt. Each home’s history will be on display for all the town to see. 10am at the Monument | Help kick off May Day with a neighborhood cleanup, sponsored by Charlestown Dogs. Meet at 10:00am at the Monument! “Even if you can’t make it to our clean sweep, we encourage everyone in the neighborhood to get out and clean up the sidewalk or park near their home! We will be handing out chalk on Main Street to decorate the sidewalks too!”
