USS Constitution is scheduled to get underway on Friday, September 25th from Charlestown Navy Yard at 10:00 A.M. The cruise will be visible from the Boston Harborwalk, Castle Island, and Charlestown Navy Yard. A 21-gun salute will be fired at approximately 11:30 A.M., viewable from Fort Independence on Castle Island. Followed by a 17-gun salute in front of the US Coast Guard Base around 12:25pm.

Get Crafty at the Charlestown Library

The Charlestown Branch of the Boston Public Library is hosting Crafturday for Adults on Saturday, September 26 at 11am. Stop by and paint your very own mini garden gnome to take home. The event is free, but registration is required.

Free Fall Fitness

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department and Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) today announced the 2026 Boston Parks Fall Fitness Series, sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. The series will offer free weekly classes in City of Boston parks from September 13 through October 17, 2026. This fall, residents can enjoy a variety of healthy activities in the parks, including Walking Group, Yoga, Tai Chi, ZUMBA®, Dance Hall Bootcamp, and more. Classes are designed for all skill levels and ages, with options that are family-friendly, age-friendly, and welcoming to those who may be new to fitness. Get all the details here.
