Charlestown’s Annual Holiday Night Out is on Wednesday

Get ready for Charlestown’s annual Holiday Night Out on Wednesday, December 10th starting at 5pm! Indulge in an evening of local shopping, dining, and celebration with discounts, pop-ups, dining specials, and more. Check out some of the highlights, below!

Hosted by the Charlestown Business Alliance, the Holiday Night Out is one of Charlestown’s favorite winter traditions — a neighborhood-wide evening where local restaurants, shops, and small businesses open their doors for festive specials, holiday cheer, and community connection. Guests can stroll through the streets, shop local for gifts, enjoy seasonal bites and drinks, and experience the warmth of Charlestown’s small business community during the holidays.

There’s a Frozen Fire Festival at The Anchor this weekend

You do not want to miss the hottest (and coolest) event of the season! The Anthem Group’s Frozen Fire Festival is coming to The Anchor … this weekend!! Friday, December 12th through Saturday, December 14th, celebrate winter with mesmerizing fire and ice installations, live music, craft food and drinks, a holiday artisan market, curling, and captivating fire and cirque performances.

The fire and cirque performers are coming from all over the world, bringing an unforgettable event to our own neighborhood. Along with in-house BBQ, get excited for the Donut Pub, Soup Shed, and a Smores and Hot Cocoa bar!

Speaking of a bar – the festive libations are guaranteed to impress. From a Fire & Ice Sangria to the Jingle Spritz, a Snow Globe Mimosa, and staples like Warm Mulled Sangria and Spiked Eggnog, you’ll want to try them all!

This is a free event, but you can secure guaranteed front row seats, reserve a heated igloo, or enhance your experience with one of the VIP packages (available daily!)

Free Hot Yoga at Asana on Thursday!

Sign up for a free, heated yoga class at Asana, happening this Thursday, December 11th at 9:15am!

They are also hosting an awesome 90-minute Restore & Receive class on Friday at 6pm.  Sign up for that, too! Check out the class description:

Restore & Receive is an evening created to nurture your nervous system and guide you back to balance. We’ll begin with a grounding somatic flow led by yoga teacher Molly Morgan to release tension and connect you to your body’s natural rhythm. From there, we’ll ease into deep restorative poses, fully supported by props, while Reiki Master Emily offers gentle hands-on energy work, intuitive movement, and aromatherapy to encourage emotional, mental, and physical healing.

Meal In A Bag, hosted by Harvest on Vine, is a great way to give back this week

Harvest on Vine is currently hosting their Meal In A Bag food drive! They are asking for donations of a complete dinner for a family of four! Sign up for donating a bagged meal, here. If you are unable to make time to shop/drop off, please consider giving a monetary donation instead!

Drop off details: Week of December 8th you can drop off bags at 49 Vine Street (next to Dollar Tree); Monday-Friday 9-5pm … please drop by 9am on 12/13 and it will be distributed by volunteers that day.  Or, if you would like to volunteer for distribution of bags, you can email [email protected].

Mark your calendars for the 5th Annual Christmas Singalong

Join Essem Art Studio for their 5th Annual Christmas Singalong with Miss Sophia on Dec 19th at 5 PM. (Doors open at 4:50) It will take place at Christ Church Charlestown, who has generously offered their beautiful space again. The Charlestown Mothers Association also sponsors this even every year so the concert may remain free! It is family friendly and open to all ages, but all children must be accompanied and cared for to ensure the safety of all. There is limited stroller parking so please plan accordingly!

This year, you’ll be joined by the musical talents of Masataka Yamamoto on keys, Nic McGehee (drums), and Nat Mangrum (hand percussion) to bring you a festive singalong.
