Things got a little too lit on Bartlett Street Tuesday night when an electrical fire left more than 100 Charlestown residents without power. According to officials, overhead wires sparked up, sending flames raining down—and unfortunately, right onto a nearby parked car.
Boston Fire and emergency crews quickly responded to the fiery scene and worked to contain the situation. The culprit? One of the top utility lines caught fire, igniting a chain reaction that ended with a scorched vehicle and a whole lot of folks left in the dark.
No injuries were reported, but neighbors say the street lit up like the Fourth of July—for all the wrong reasons.
