Update:
Universal Hub is reporting that the controversial locked gate at Jeffries Point is now open! According to a resident walking with two kids in the area, her daughter discovered the following :
Margaret was looking at the latch and tried pulling the pin up and out it came. There was no keyed lock like a Masterlock running through the pin. Only the pin was keeping it closed. All open now, we swung the gate over to the other post that can keep it open.

A concerned (and irritated) resident took to the 311 to call out someone locking a gate at the end of Sumner Street in Jeffries Point. The resident also has their suspicions about one guy who is always closing this gate when evidently it should be open. There’s always somebody, right? See the report below:
