Drug Trafficking Suspect Arrested Following Search Warrants in Charlestown

At about 10:48 AM, on Monday, March 3, 2025, officers assigned to the City-Wide Drug Control Unit and the Drug Control Unit assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) arrested Dexter Harvey, 72, of Charlestown, on various drug offenses.
Officers were conducting a drug investigation, and observed the target suspect operating a motor vehicle in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and immediately placed the suspect into handcuffs.
Officers advised the suspect that they were in possession of a search warrant for his body, vehicle, and 42 Park Street in Charlestown. As a result of the search warrants, officers recovered approximately 33 grams of Crack Cocaine, 7.5 grams of Fentanyl, and $352 in U.S. currency.

Harvey was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking of Class B, Two Counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A, Two Counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, and Distribution of Class B. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court. Via BPD News
