Look who’s back in town!
A coyote was spotted in the neighborhood on Sunday night – just running down Bunker Hill Street near St. Francis. Coyotes have been known to hang out in this area.
Coyotes are no strangers to the city. Apparently, they come to the neighborhood for the Canada Geese and the lively nightlife. One was even spotted last spring swimming in Boston Harbor.
Police warn people to beware – coyotes can be aggressive and like to eat pets – so be aware of your surroundings – especially early in the morning.

Ran into a coyote at exactly the same spot today (April 2025). Likely the same coyote.
