Let’s hear it for Ponti and his very creative costume, the Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge, which won him the coveted title of Best Solo Costume at the Annual Charlestown Dogs Howl-O-Ween Parade last Sunday!
Ponti—who will be turning four on November 13th—is a Lagotto Romagnolo, Italian Truffle Hunter. His full name is Ponticello, which means “Little Bridge” in Italian. So it’s fitting that this year’s costume was the Boston landmark, the Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge, commemorating the beloved humanitarian Leader Lenny Zakim and the Battle of Bunker Hill.

This costume was created out of foam core and yarn and designed by Jen Caughey, a Charlestown graphic designer and lover of dogs.
Ponti will be appearing at the Monument Halloween Parade if you’d like to see him and his costume in person.
