A Boston Landmark Since 1935
Built by 3,000 workers in just 62 days, Suffolk Downs’s historic track has been a showcase for some of the most famous names in thoroughbred racing history, including Seabiscuit, Whirlaway, John Henry, Cigar and Skip Away. Now, the Track is Back!
The HYM Investment Group purchased Suffolk Downs in 2017 with a vision to recover and revamp the space. The space blends history with a new urban feel. Plans underway or completed include residential, work, restaurant, and retail space. Sandwiched between East Boston and Revere, the location is accessible and conveniently located on the Blue Line.
The dog park is up and running, events are already taking place, and the lineup is stacked. A staged venue with space to host 8,500 concertgoers has been set. Check out their site for construction updates, events, and more. As always, stay tuned on @caughtineastie Instagram for updates and reminders on what’s happening and when in the neighborhood!
