It’s not always easy to find a workout space that’s accessible yet challenging, but Britt Vitello has done just that with The Box. Located in Mass Underground, Britt opened The Box last March, bringing her 15 years of expertise to Charlestown through personal training and group-setting fitness classes that are unique, fun, and motivating.
I’ve personally been going to The Box since April 2023, so just about the time it opened, and have seen how much the community has grown and the attention that Britt gives to each of her clients. She even mentioned herself that one of her favorite parts about The Box is “the ability for her to know every single client’s strengths and goals in and out of the studio”. That’s something that really sets The Box apart from other studios.
Her brand is all about consistency, which she’s built The Box’s strength training program around. There is a playlist for every class, a flow from start to finish, and there is no room for fluff, which she means. I’ll admit the first time I walked into The Box studio, I was both intimidated and worried about how small the space was, but I quickly realized that Britt had it all figured out. With effective workouts building on one another there is no time to worry about your neighbor, you become entranced and focused on your form, your reps and challenging yourself to the next level. Once you’ve been to a class at The Box, you’ll likely see a familiar face the next time you’re there because her clientele is also very consistent, making it feel like a little community within our Charlestown community.
Most of The Box classes are only 40 minutes, but don’t let that fool you because Britt knows how to curate some powerful routines. You’ll walk out of each class sweating, maybe a little sore, and so excited to book your next one. She’s always offering new client specials, so if you haven’t already, go book a class at The Box!

Georgie, born and raised in Charlestown, spends most of her days as a Social Media Strategist, but is a lover of dogs, hosting dinner parties with friends, New England and most importantly this one square mile. She’s a passionate foodie and always keeps a close pulse on the neighborhood happenings.
