In 2023, chef Douglass Williams took his Mida magic to the scenic waterfront of East Boston with a brand-new location. You’ll find all the hits—focaccia piled high with Parmesan, handmade bucatini swathed in Mida’s signature guanciale-filled amatriciana, and a tender eggplant parm sandwich—plus an exciting offering not available at the South End original: ultra-thin-crust pizza made to order. And if clam pie and dreamy sunsets weren’t enough to reel you in, the restaurant’s impressive, design-forward interior is guaranteed to make any dinner feel like an artful evening.
MIDA East Boston opened its doors on August 6th to rave reviews! The waterfront hot spot is located on Lewis Street and is the third location for MIDA from chef and owner Douglass William!
MIDA comes from the Italian saying, “he gives me,” meaning guests are welcome to eat, drink and be merry as soon as they come through the door! The menu features Italian dishes like arancini, mussels, gnocchi cacio e pepe, bucatini all’amatriciana and classic puttanesca! As for MIDA’s pizza, it’s New Haven style – which means a crispy, chewy crust with toppings like classic pepperoni, sausage and pizza Bianco!
