Calling all foodies and cocktail lovers: Good Company, the newest cocktail bar in Charlestown, located at 100 Hood Park Drive, has arrived. The newest venture of Seth Freidus, award-winning bar director and longtime bartender (think: impressive experience at spots like Alden & Harlow, Eastern Standard, and Waypoint), Good Company marries the harmony of a well-made drink with innovative bites to keep your tastebuds happy and curious. There are so many unexpected combinations that just work. Freidus takes a unique approach to crafting cocktails (and mocktails!) by highlighting local and seasonal produce and committing to zero-waste with all ingredients.
You’ll quickly notice upon glancing over the menu that there are at least one or two fruits or vegetables in each curated cocktail. For example, the Carrot cocktail features blanco tequila, curry roasted carrots, and Thai coconut milk served in a coconut (see, zero waste!). Good Company puts so much thought and precision into each drink and extends the same approach to its mocktails. Offering many zero-proof options, you shouldn’t underestimate the zero-proof white negroni or spicy margarita.
Additionally, Good Company offers the option to make your own sour (so cool, right?) You can also order flights of rotating selections of rum, tequila, bourbon, scotch – the list goes on. There are so many options to elevate your cocktail and try something new!
We can’t forget the snacks. Similar to its cocktails, Good Company uses local and seasonal ingredients and offers bites that not only pair well with the cocktail menu but also offer a unique spin on classic items. They’re perfect for sharing, too. You won’t want to miss the French onion dip, local burrata, and signature burger. Oh, also, there’s boozy ice cream! Could this menu get any better?
Good Company nails it. The perfect addition to Charlestown.
