Cool Zone: Ice Cream Treats in the Neighborhood

With warmer temps and longer days, summer is the perfect time to take a trip in the neighborhood for ice cream!  Although Charlestown doesn’t have many traditional ice cream shops, there are plenty of spots to find a sweet treat!

Prima Gelato Cart at City Square Park on certain Wednesdays this summer

The FCSP Summer Concert Series takes place on Wednesday evenings in City Square Park.  Enjoy some gelato from Prima while you listen on July 10th, August 4th, and September 11th.

Waverly Kitchen + Bar

Waverly offers some amazing ice cream desserts to indulge in, like an ice cream chipwich made with a house chocolate chip cookie and vanilla bean ice cream or a banana sundae made with griddle house banana bread, bruleed banana, vanilla ice cream, sea salted caramel + pecan crumble.   Waverly also features a sea salted caramel affogato with vanilla been ice cream, caramel drizze, cinnamon biscott cookie, and espresso.  You ca n also add amaretto, coffee liqueur, and Irish creme.

Located at 100 City Square, Emack & Bolio’s is a beloved spot known for its innovative and delicious ice cream flavors. This shop boasts a funky, rock-and-roll-themed atmosphere that adds to the fun of indulging in their creamy treats.
