From savory meals to sweet surprises (and much-needed hair of the dog), there’s something for everyone! Check out some of our favorite spots in East Boston for brunch!

Milano’s

Your North End Uncle is probably getting his breakfast from Milano’s. If he’s not, his sister is. This Saratoga Street staple is as old-school Italian as it gets, and their breakfast menu is simple but very well done. Grab an omelet, espresso, or a cannoli – or better yet, get all three.

La Casa de Pandebono

Please, do yourself a favor and try the breakfast burrito. Just try it. We promise it’s going to change your life. But since that plea can’t be the only introduction, we give to this genuine Eastie gem, here’s a bit about Bono: the family-run shop serves home cooked central and south American dishes, including iced coffee and some options premade each morning for busy customers. Truly, this place will change your life.

Pazza on Porter

Social dining with an energetic atmosphere might be an understatement. With creative brunch cocktails like “The Moaning Lisa” and a medley of boozy brunch staples to boot, Pazza on Porter is the perfect spot to catch up with friends after a fun weekend out. Bonus points once again for the stunning harborside location and outdoor patio (an especially nice breakfast spot during the summer months!).

The Well

Somewhat of a hidden gem, The Well does more than serve exceptional espresso-based drinks as a nonprofit operating on State Street, as well as in East Boston, and Everett, The Well has an atmosphere reminiscent of Central Perk (a la Friends fame), making it a perfect spot to catch up with friends, study, or simply stop in for a meaningful start to your day.

173 Border St, East Boston, MA 02128

East Boston Farm Stand

While not a farm stand in the outdoor-table-in-a-market sense, East Boston Farm Stand stands out as a top choice for breakfast, thanks to their unwavering commitment to provide the freshest ingredients. Every item on the menu is sourced based on when it’s in season – think fresh smoothies, sandwiches, or bowl of fruit without straining the budget. They also offer a variety of fruits and vegetables for purchase – a convenient one stop shop!

75 Meridian St, Boston, MA 02128

Toasted Flats

Toasted Flats has become a standout choice for on-the-go breakfast in Eastie. This fast-casual gem offers quick, healthy, and delicious meals with a menu that is not, in fact, limited to flatbreads alone. Grab an iced matcha, a detox juice, or the signature breakfast flat. Bonus points to Toasted Flats for being a pet friendly space!

53 Chelsea St, Boston, MA 02128

Cunard Tavern

Imagine savoring homemade donuts, complemented by a refreshing mimosa or your choice of craft beer selection. What sets Cunard Tavern apart is not just its Saturday-Sunday brunch menu, but down-to-earth atmosphere and inviting harbor-side location. Brunch at Cunard Tavern is a must-visit.

Reel House

Perfect spot for a bougie weekend brunch. Especially considering the wonderful views from their patio during the summer months. Reel House has all you need for a morning-till-dusk day out — espresso martinis, salmon benedict, and plenty of screens to watch the big game (whatever game that may be).

Cafe Iterum

Located right outside the Maverick Square T stop and just 5 minutes from the waterfront, Cafe Iterum serves high quality breakfast classics as well as boutique coffees and cold brews. Cafe Iterum is also a haven for remote workers, with plentiful seating for working indoors as well as a large outdoor patio.

11 Father Jacobbe Rd, East Boston, MA 02128

Eagle Hill Cafe

Named for Eastie’s historic Eagle Hill neighborhood, Eagle Hill Cafe has a prime location on busy Meridian Street. The friendly neighborhood cafe is a great spot for grabbing coffee and a meal on the go. Their health-conscious menu includes paninis, grain bowls, smoothies, toasts and pastries, as well as breakfast options (which are served all day!).
