ART in the PARK is on Saturday

ART in the PARK is back for another year! Head to City Square Park this Saturday, September 6, 2025 between 10am to 5:30pm to see the annual juried art event sponsored by the Artists’ Group of Charlestown. Their rain date is this Sunday, September 7th. Since 1998, ART in the PARK has consistently attracted talented artists from the New England area, becoming an extremely popular fine art event. Discovery Day at Garden’s for Charlestown

Join Gardens for Charlestown on Sunday, September 7th from 10am to 1pm for Discovery Day! They are partnering with local yoga/barre studio Asana, the Charlestown Y, e inc Boston, and The Old Farmer’s Almanac for this educational and family-friendly event. There will be an opportunity to explore the gardens and go on a guided discovery trail, seed planting, crafting, reading, a chance to meet their beekeeper, and the first 100 explorers receive a Honey Babes custom cookie!!

Attend a free Irish Music concert at the Training Field

Join Friends of the Training Field for their final summer concert of 2025!

This Saturday, Sept 6th from 3-6pm, Bostons Erin Og will be preforming classic Irish Music at the Training Field, celebrating Half Way to St. Patrick’s Day! Rain date is Saturday, Sept 27th from 3-6pm.1q

Thank you special sponsor State Representative Dan Ryan! The Charlestown YMCA will also be there providing treats for the kids. This event is free and all are welcome.

See Jaws on the Big Screen at the New England Aquarium

As the film marks its 50th anniversary, Jaws will return to the giant screen at the New England Aquarium’s Simons Theatre with nightly screenings Sept. 4-6. The film tells the story of a massive great white shark that terrorizes a summer resort town where a police chief, a grizzled fisherman, and an intrepid marine biologist battle the bloodthirsty animal. Experience the fully restored classic film on the Simons Theatre’s giant screen, nearly five stories high with wrap-around digital surround sound. Tickets are $10 each.

Themed concessions will be available for purchase, including specialty cocktails. Visitors can also pair a film with a visit to the Aquarium, grab dinner and drinks at Dockside Beer Garden on Central Wharf, and create a special evening with friends and family.
