Get ready for Fall Fun Day and Touch-A-Truck at Hood Park!

On Saturday, November 8th from 11:30am – 3pm head to Hood Park for a fun, fall-filled day of trucks, games, crafts, and activities for the whole family! There will be a police cruiser, ambulance, and fire truck to explore. Admission is FREE! Hood Park is accessible via Sullivan Square Station and offers racks for Bikes and Blue Bikes, along with FREE 3-Hour Parking at the Hood Park Garage.

As many families across Boston face cuts or a pause in their SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits, it’s more important than ever for our community to step up. Charlestown has always taken care of its own, and there are plenty of ways—big and small—to make sure no one goes hungry this season. Whether you can donate canned goods, volunteer your time, or give a few dollars, your kindness will go a long way. A top food need right now for Harvest on Vine is cereal. So, this Saturday, November 1st, from 10am–2pm, the Junebug Van will be parked out front of their store collecting donations. The goal is 100 boxes!

Charlestown Clean Up Day

Let’s get Charlestown ready for winter! Join the Charlestown Preservation Society for a community clean up on Sunday, November 9, from 10-12PM at the Training Field.

You’ll gather at the meeting spot then head out in teams to clear the debris and weeds from sidewalks and public spaces around the neighborhood. Supplies will be provided.

Charlestown storytime at the library

Head to the library on Saturday at 10 a.m. for a special storytime with local children’s author Iris G. Sokol. Iris will read from her new picture book, Mudge and Lola in the Strollah, a story set right in Charlestown!
