Spring cleaning? Give back to the neighborhood!

Doing some spring cleaning? Here is where you can donate those clothes you want to get rid of while helping the Charlestown community!

Charlestown Community Cares provides families in need with clothing, home goods and furniture. They also provide low income kids opportunities to attend summer camp, resume and job application assistance, as well as tutoring for kids with learning disabilities.

This year, the Bunker Hill Associates funded upgrades to their Community Closet location. You can drop off gently used (or new!) clothing at Saint John’s Church (27 Devens Street in Charlestown) on Tuesdays 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Thursdays 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Cub Scouting is back in Charlestown

Welcome back, Cub Scouts! The Cub Scouts will make their official public debut at the Bunker Hill Day Parade on June 15th. The program is open to boys and girls ages K-4th Grade, and emphasizes outdoor activities, character and leadership development, and community service. Join them on March 3rd from 5 to 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s Community Room, 46 Winthrop St in Charlestown, to learn more!
