HB Heat Expanding to North End

Now you have two studios to choose from if you love to sweat it out at HB Heat! Already in Hood Park, they are now opening a studio at 77 N. Washington Street, just a short walk past the William Felton ‘Bill’ Russell Bridge, which was renamed in October to honor Bill Russell, and connects Charlestown to the zNorth End. The studio expects to open it’s doors in February!

Boston.com Recognizes Charlestown’s Support for CA

In their recent article, ‘How to help those impacted by the Southern California wildfires’ Boston.com lists ways to help from Boston. Their first suggestion? Order a Sunset Spritz cocktail from Pima, Waverly, or Monument!

BPD Alert – Text Message Scam

The Boston Police Department (BPD) is issuing an alert to the public regarding a new text message scam targeting residents of the City of Boston. These fraudulent messages claim that recipients have overdue parking ticket fees. Please be advised that these messages were NOT sent by the City of Boston.

Part One Crime and Robberies up 23% in 2024

Boston Police reported that Charlestown saw a 23% increase in Part One crime in 2024. There were 267 incidents of Part One crime in District A-15 between Jan. 1 and Dec. 29, 2024, compared to 217 in 2023. However, the five-year average of Part One crime is 291. Robberies and attempted robberies were up almost 42%, with 17 in ’24 compared to 12 in ’23. The five-year average for this category in the district is 11.

Charlestown Youth Hockey brings home wins from Mayor’s Cup
