5 Things You Should Know This Week – January 12th

Have a great week, Ctown!

EverybodyFights is opening a MASSIVE gym in Hood Park – THIS WINTER!

You heard that right – apparently EBF will open Winter 2026. Incase you missed it: EverybodyFights (EBF), Boston’s 11-time Best Gym and community-centered fitness brand, has signed a lease for a 28,000 square-foot flagship location at Hood Park, the dynamic mixed-use development in Charlestown. This strategic expansion will bring EBF’s signature programming and community ethos to one of Greater Boston’s most exciting live-work-play destinations.

The new Charlestown gym will offer a full suite of fitness and wellness amenities, including:

  • 28,000 square feet of training and class space

  • Over 150 weekly classes, including TRAIN (circuit), BAGS, ROAD, RECOVERY, and REFORMER PILATES, plus OPEN GYM sessions and PERSONAL TRAINING.

  • Wellness and recovery features: infrared sauna, cold plunge tub, Normatec recovery tools, and Post Physical Therapy on site

  • Spacious locker rooms and a dedicated member lounge

  • Easy access via transit and parking options within Hood Park, including free 3-hour parking at Hood Park’s on-site parking garage

If you need help getting through this winter, check out Vivolo’s memberships

It’s no question we don’t get enough nutrients during New England winters – between the lack of sun, wanting to eat less-nutritious comfort food, and being cooped up. Plus, this cold and flu season has been especially brutal. In fact, I am on day 10 of Flu A, writing this from my bed as I have “rebounded” after starting to feel better. If you’re someone like me who is too busy to wait out weeks of recovery, or just needs extra energy during these colder months, you may benefit from continued IV therapy.

Vivolo, Charlestown’s wellness club, offers monthly memberships, check them out!

Tier 1: 1 IV per month plus 10% off all other services and supplements (in-store and online). This is perfect for maintenance and monthly support.

Tier 2: 2 IVs per month plus 10% off all other services and supplements (in-store and online). This is designed for consistency and performance.

Tier 3: 4 IVs per month plus 10% off all other services and supplements (in-store and online). This will maximize your wellness support, and offers the best value.
