New to the Neighborhood: PickleBOS opening this Winter in Charlestown!

Related Beal today announced that PickleBOS, a premier pickleball club in Boston, will be coming to the Charlestown Labs campus this winter. The 22,570 square foot facility, located at 440 Rutherford Avenue in Charlestown, will be the first permanent indoor pickleball courts in the neighborhood.

The PickleBOS Charlestown location will offer players access to 10 high-tech courts equipped with TVs, iPads, and cameras for live scoring and instant replays. PickleBOS members, guests and local employers will welcome meetings and outings in their event space, designed by leading entertainment and restaurant designer, Studiotyak. The PickleBOS team has also secured partnership with some of Boston’s premier restaurant groups to offer a full menu of food options. Read more about it here!!

Bunker Hill Laundromat is now open!

Over the weekend, Bunker Hill Laundromat celebrated their grand opening! As the only laundromat in Charlestown, located at 194 Bunker Hill Street, they will be open every day of the week from 6am to 10pm. They have high capacity washing machines, energy efficient dryers, folding stations, and contactless payment.

Orange Line service extended by 1 hour on Friday and Saturday nights

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) today announced that, effective August 24 as part of Fall 2025 service changes, all subway lines and eight frequent bus routes will offer extended service on Fridays and Saturdays with five of the MBTA’s most frequent bus routes with the highest number of later riders offering extended service every day of the week. Trip end times for these lines and routes will be about one hour later compared to current service end times. Extended service will also be added on some ferry lines on Fridays and Saturdays through the end of September with additional trips added. Get more details here!
