Happy Thanksgiving week, Charlestown!
New MBTA App
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) released its new, official mobile app, MBTA Go, a first of its kind for the organization. This initial release makes an early version available to riders with Apple iPhones. The MBTA plans to release a companion version for Android users in February 2025. This app, which was developed in-house and provides real-time information for all fixed-route services, will improve communications between the MBTA and riders. It will also allow the T to share information in a more accessible way. Read more here!

Give back to the community this week, it’s Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Let’s all do our part in giving back to the community. Read all about the different ways to contribute this week, including:
Bunker Hill Associates x Warren Tavern Turkey Drive
Harvest on Vine will feed 500 Charlestown families this Thanksgiving. Please consider sponsoring a Turkey Dinner for $35. Food insecurity is real and so are high food costs. This turkey drive is a partnership with the Warren Tavern born out of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has afforded the donation of over 1,000 turkeys to Harvest on Vine Charlestown Food Pantry since 2020.
Every dollar donated to the Bunker Hill Associates during the Drive goes toward the purchasing of frozen turkeys, and any surplus donations are passed along to Harvest on Vine. Donate here!
Fill the Fridge
New Health’s #FilltheFridge is back! To celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the Charlestown Community Fridge, NEW Health aims to fill the fridge every day in November with the help of our neighbors and community partners. The trend will continue every day with a new organization or community member getting tagged! You can also sign up.
Kennedy Center Toy Drive
The Kennedy Center of Charlestown’s Toy Drive registration is open! Charlestown families, get ready for a season of joy! Starting November 1st, you can sign up ONLINE for their Annual Toy Drive and secure special holiday gifts for your family. Donate here, and be sure to designate your donation for the Toy Drive.
MYSTRYDE Holiday Drive
Donate gifts to local families in need at MYSTRYDE! Take a gift tag and bring that requested gift back unwrapped, with the original tag, by December 9th.
