This is a developing story.
The community, local businesses, and National Parks Service are searching for a woman who appears to have stolen a dog that was on Moulton St. outside of McCarthy Bros. and Brewers Fork earlier this evening. Details are still unfolding, but the accused was seen on security footage quickly walking away with the medium-sized, black and white pepper colored Doodle named Bobo.
6/2 5:00pm UPDATE: Bobo is home, safe and sound! Thank you to all for your efforts.
6/2 9:00 a.m. UPDATE: Bobo is still being held by Animal Control, but his family was able to drop off food and toys. They are asking the community to reach out with any direct contacts to the organization … please DM @CaughtInCharlestown on Instagram.
10:20 p.m. UPDATE: The woman surrendered Bobo to Boston Animal Control, and is being questioned by police. Because Animal Control is closed overnight, his owners are having trouble bringing Bobo home tonight. They are asking the community to reach out with any direct contacts to the organization … please DM @CaughtInCharlestown on Instagram.
9:35 p.m. UPDATE: The snatcher and dog were last seen in the Navy Yard. Potential sighting inside of the Basilica. Please contact local police if you know this woman:
