Time is running out to support one of Charlestown’s favorite summer traditions! This is the last week to become a sponsor of the 6th Annual Townie Cup, with all sponsorship donations due by July 6, 2026.

Hosted by Hughie O’Donnell and Nolan McLaughlin, the annual inline roller hockey tournament returns to Eden Street Park on August 1 & 2, 2026. Over the past six years, the Townie Cup has become much more than a tournament—it’s a celebration of community, local talent, and giving back.

Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and residents, last year’s event raised $6,000, with $1,000 donated to each of the following organizations:

• Charlestown Youth Hockey
• Charlestown Girls Softball
• Charlestown Soccer
• Charlestown Football
• Charlestown Lacrosse
• Charlestown Baseball

Businesses that sponsor $250 or more will have their logo featured on the back of the official player shirts and can display a banner along the rink boards throughout the tournament. Sponsors contributing under $250 are also invited to display a banner during the event.

Donations can be made by check payable to “Townie Cup,” or via Venmo at @Nmac5 or @Hugh-Odonnell22.
