Charlestown Homeowners Encouraged to Apply for Historic Bronze Markers

Have you ever walked past one of Charlestown’s historic markers and wondered if your home could have one too?
The Charlestown Preservation Society program issues bronze historic markers for homes and buildings throughout the neighborhood, highlighting important details such as the year the property was built and, when possible, the name of the original owner or builder.
Since the program began, approximately 200 markers have been installed across Charlestown, helping preserve the neighborhood’s historic character while educating residents and visitors about the area’s many historic homes and sites.
The CPS also features an interactive map where people can explore the markers and learn more about the history behind each building.
