May Day is finally here! It will be held this Saturday, May 2nd with a rain date of this Sunday, May 3rd! It’s time to celebrate Spring in Charlestown, support our local businesses, and have some fun with the community. Here is our Guide to May Day with all the happenings!
Save the Date: Gardens for Charlestown announces Spring and Summer programming
Gardens for Charlestown has released the dates for some great upcoming programming
Gardens for Charlestown have announced some fun upcoming events. Story time at the Garden will be held May 16, June 20, July 18, August 15, and October 17th. Story time starts at 9:30am!
Their Plant a Seed event will take place on May 9th from 11am-1pm. Drop by anytime! It’s an introducing for seed starting for all ages and will be hosted at the Charlestown Public Library at 11am. It includes a hands-on planting activity to take home!
Love Your Block is on Saturday in Charlestown
Love Your Block is a city-wide initiative hosting neighborhood cleanups, and Charlestown’s is on Saturday. The Charlestown Preservation society will host at Preservation Park (corner of Austin and Main St) from 10:30am-12:30pm. Anyone can join! They’ll provide bags, pickers, gloves, and limited tees from the City of Boston.
Celebrate Derby Day in Charlestown
Pier 6’s Derby Day party is back! Big hats, bourbon cocktails, and waterfront views.
