Looks like a new supermarket is coming to the neighborhood
The Boston Business Journal reports that Trademark, the developer behind Hood Park, is planning to add a supermarket to the project.
This new grocery store will be located on Rutherford Ave. Trademark went before the BPDA this past Thursday for approval of the plan, and construction could begin late next year. The grocery store will be 25,000 square feet and located in a building at 15 Supertest Street with 32 residential units on two upper floors. A hotel tower on the same block will have 104 residential units.
According to the article, the timing of construction on the hotel and residential building could depend on a factor just outside the neighborhood: the potential construction of a new soccer stadium in Everett for the New England Revolution.
